Mongolian Dance

The Mongols call the horse with black hooves, black tail, black mane, and milky white body “ Hailiu Horse”. Horses reach adulthood between four and five years old. Before five years old, they are considered young horses; between five and sixteen years old, they are middle-aged horses: four years old is approximately equivalent to a human being in their twenties. Horses trained by the Mongols reach maturity at the age of four and recognize their owner. Therefore, this ballad is probably also used to describe a young man’s longing for his lover.
